			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As of July 16th I will be following the Dukan Diet. Today I weighed 188.8  lbs. My goal  was to lose 40 lbs.</p>
<p>My measurements: bust 43&#8243; waist 35&#8243; hips 40&#8243; arms 13&#8243; and thigh 24.5&#8243;</p>
<p>I did visit the<a href="http://www.dukandiet.com/" target="_blank"> website </a>to find my True Weight. You answer the questions on the site and then through a formula created <em>by </em>Pierre Dukan. <em><strong>Your True Weight is 152 lbs. It is higher than the desired weight you indicated. But it&#8217;s your True Weight, a realistic and healthy weight that you can attain and maintain for the rest of your life</strong></em>. A bit less then the 40lbs. I thought I should lose?</p>
<p>To achieve this weight we will start 5 days of the Attack Phase. (pure protein + 2 quarts water + 3 tbls oat bran + 30 mins of walking)  should lose 4.25 lbs</p>
<p>then we begin the Cruise Phase for 117 days ending Nov 15th. where they estimate I will lose 1 lb every 3 days. Total will be 32.5 lbs. There are different approaches to the Cruise Phase. The gist is alternating a pure protein day with protein and vegetable day. PP, PV, or PP, PP, PV, PV or PP, PP, PP, PV, PV, PV.</p>
<p>I think i will alternate the PV, with PP.</p>
<p>Why am I blogging something so personal? I really was inspired by <a href="http://www.sonypictures.com/homevideo/julieandjulia/" target="_blank">Julie and Julia</a>, and  appreciate  accountability and following through with my promise, to blog my experience and progress with the Dukan Diet. I will blog every 3 days. Why 3 days? You see, the cruise phase is calculated by multiplying each pound you need to lose to reach your true weight by 3. A pound for every 3 days. I was hoping to have the blog/ site ready before I started the diet. But did not want that to delay my starting the diet. I will work on the site as I work on my weight loss!</p>
